Youth

Looking for ways to help the tween or teen in your life grow in faith and develop a deeper connection with their spirituality? At Lutz Family Church, they can join our engaging Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. where they will explore their faith in a supportive environment, and then take part in a meaningful worship service with the entire church family at 11:00 a.m. This combination provides a wonderful opportunity for them to learn, ask questions, and build lasting friendships while nurturing their relationship with God.

Meet Sheri Koyles!

With a dedicated commitment spanning over three decades, Sheri has devoted herself to youth ministry and cherishes this vocation immensely. Her profound affection for teenagers and their exciting escapades is unwavering.

When not tending to office duties or youth group activities, you’ll often spot Sheri at the gym, exploring the outdoors, or embracing water-based activities. In moments of tranquility, she finds solace in the creative realm of watercolors and acrylics.

Anticipating with enthusiasm, Sheri eagerly awaits the remarkable journey that lies ahead for the future of Lutz Family Church, eager to witness God’s unfolding plans.

Planet 56

This dynamic youth group fosters strong connections by actively encouraging students to forge meaningful relationships with both their peers and with God. Through engaging activities, group discussions, and shared experiences, they create a nurturing environment where young individuals can grow spiritually and build lasting friendships.

We have interactive lessons once a quarter and host fun events such as laser tag, bowling, and more!

What We Offer!

Conversations in Christ

Join our 7th-12th grade student Bible study every Sunday, 9:30-10:30 am. Led by experienced youth volunteer Bob, expect dynamic video, book, and thought-provoking discussions.

Monthly Meet Up

Students actively organize these events. Boys enjoy fishing, paintball, or TopGolf, while girls opt for axe throwing, movie nights, or beach sunsets. Monthly events are announced via bi-weekly emails, with varying costs.

Volunteer Opportunities

Weekly, our youth can volunteer in children’s ministry, overseeing toddlers, assisting with projects, nursing home visits, and aiding lead teachers, fostering their valuable contribution to the church community.

Youth Missions

Our weeklong Mission includes hurricane relief, home repair, kids’ clubs, yard care, and assisting the elderly. Fundraisers make trips budget-friendly for students, offering transformative experiences beyond comfort zones, enabling God’s impact. Typically in summer, this trip offers new perspectives while making a difference

Take It To The Streets

Each Wednesday, during the Summer break, students are offered a local service opportunity.  These experiences include, but are not limited to, homeless and food insecurity serving, food pantry sorting and distribution, elderly assistance, and kids day camps.

VBS Leadership

In June, young individuals lead in our Children’s Vacation Bible School as assistant teachers, station guides, drama participants, and kitchen helpers, finding joy in contributing to VBS success.

How Can You Help!

Meals 4 Minors

Contribute to the Sunday night youth group by preparing and serving a meal for the students, who come together to share a dinner experience from 5-5:30p.m.

Small Group Leaders

We are always excited to welcome new leaders to the youth team.  We provide all the training, materials, and guidance to aid you in building mentor relationships with tweens and teens.  If you are someone who loves Jesus, loves students, and can learn to lead a prepared discussion while building relationships with your group then you are qualified and God can use you to shape teen lives!

Drivers

Many of the activities we embark on require transportation.  We are always looking for those willing to help transport students to and from service opportunities, fun hang-outs, and other events that pop up.  Let us know if you feel led to help in this way!
