Adult Education

We would love to have you join one of our adult classes, whether on Sunday mornings or during the week. These classes offer a great opportunity to grow in faith, build connections with others, and deepen your understanding of scripture. There’s a class for everyone, and we would be excited to have you be a part of it!

Wednesday Night Bible Study!

Case for Christ
Is there credible evidence that Jesus of Nazareth really is the Son of God? Former atheist and Chicago Tribune journalist Lee Strobel takes an investigative look at the evidence from the fields of science, philosophy, and history.  (6 week class)  Led by Jeff Malin.
Unlocking the Mysteries of Genesis
This study presents evidence that confirms the biblical account of creation and offers defensible answers to some of the most provocative and controversial questions of faith and science. (8 week class) Led by Bob Brittain
Women’s Small Group
Meant for Good (a Megan Fate Marshman study) will show you how to trust God in your daily life, and more importantly, how to trust God’s definition of good above your own.

We are starting a NEW multi-week J.D. Greear study on the Gospel of Luke. Please join us!

This Sunday morning class starts with a short video followed by discussion questions about the video. Discussion is welcomed! There are no wrong answers, with the emphasis on fellowship, friendship building and a greater understanding of the Bible. Led by Jeff Malin. 

Sister's in Christ

9:30 a.m. in the Chapel

The Sisters in Christ class is for women of any age, any experience, and any background.  ALL are welcome. We move through Bible based studies at a pace that allows us to absorb and discuss the topics so we can hear what the Lord is saying to us and deepen our faith.  Fellowship and fun are also part of our class!  For questions or more information contact leader, Shira Martin at smartin@jcnewman.com

Builder's Class

9:30 a.m. in Room 105

The Builder’s Class meets at 9:30 in room 105.  They use the Cokesbury Adult Bible Studies curriculum for Bible study and discussion. Wisdom Seekers

11:00 a.m. in the Library

So far in 2025 the Wisdom Seekers class has been studying the book of Mark.  They will soon move to a course on Wesleyan Holiness: Heart, LIfe and Grace.  Class leader, Cleve Murphy is a scholar of John Wesley so this would be a great class for beginners or anyone looking to learn more.   For questions or more information contact Cleve at cleveffst37@gmail.com
